shared grocery shopping list

wip

A real-time grocery list with live updates and push notifications — built to sync with my partner, and to learn realtime sync end to end. This is the log: every day I touched it, what I shipped, and why.

Shared todo list — either person can add, check off, or remove items on it.

When one person adds an item, the other gets notified.

When one person checks/marks an item, the other gets notified too.

Take a picture of a handwritten list and have it populate a new digital list (AI/OCR) — open q: how to actually do this.

Basic auth, backed by Supabase.

One user is the list owner and invites the other — family-style invite, not open signup.

Users can choose whether to subscribe to a given list or not — not everything is shared with everyone.

open q: should editing (not just adding/checking) also be live-synced?

open q: how do push notifications actually get wired up end to end?
